Don't really agree with you on that one, Ed - in AR he regularly describes the action through the thoughts of one or other of his characters - mostly John, Titty, or Dorothea, sometimes Roger - and that provides a description "through the eyes of so-n-so" whereas we are rarely, if ever, given the thoughts of Susan, Peggy or Dick - and the odd occasions when AR allows us a peek into Nancy's mind are the more precious for their rarity.
