The original Finish on Scarab post had a few topics embedded in the main one. As follows in italics
I think I have asked this one before - but what would the finish on Scarab have been?
What type of paint do you think they finished the real Amazon with last time she was painted.
I was just doing a head count of the main characters in the whole stories and we have 11 males, D,J,R,T,C1,C2,C3,D1,D2,Don and the Scottish boy, and we have 8 females, D,S,T,N,P,T1,T2 and Daisy.
Although in most stories the girls outnumber or equal the boys. It is only CC, SW and BS that changes the odds so dramatically.
I can tell you that a group of ladies at the moment are on the YAHOO group for the Great Wall Adoption Agency waiting for the notices. On that site the girls outnumber the boys 10:1.
I just finished reading Ordinary People. The story gives a different perspective on English life just after the war.
Has anyone read Three Men and a Boat, not forgetting the dog.

My problem is multi-fold
1. I read every post and care not what the header says, I don't even look at them. I think whatever anyone writes about AR or topics which people consider close are interesting or can be made interesting.
2. I can have up to 100 emails per day from my multitude of students to answer and assorted other sorts of people and so I have limited time to post so I try and be as brief as possible, and keep things together to save time.
3. I consider the Three Men and a Dog post is mainly about boats because I am interested in the Thames skiff in the book, which I have corresponded with Jock in the last 24 hours separately so as not to bore all and sundry. I am interested in how they build it, where they build them and how they finish it. I will read the book but that is not my main interest. So to me it belongs with the Scarab cause I am interested in building.
I will do my best to try and keep the posts separate.
From Jock's comments it appears there are more people I can add to the list of people who consider me to be a scum bag. My ex-wife tops the list. She will even tell you I am a scumbag.
