I have no intention of drowning anyone, I have sailed through Cyclones, watched a lot a people get sick on boats - I am very lucky I do not get sick, I have battled large seas to get sails down with just two of us on the foredeck, I know what it is like to have a safety line stretched tight and be over the side of the boat hanging onto a sail.

I respond to everyone who writes to me outside the Tarboard, and I always include my email address on every post. I find it interesting that a common thread pervades a lot of the emails I receive about harsh responses to posts on the Tarboard turning people into Lurkers. I have taken a few hits from you on the web over the years usually criticizing the volume of my posts, or my spelling etc. In academe we learn to take criticism on the chin as we get a lot of it. Have you ever considered that some of the things you say are not taken well, certainly I have thrown a few things at walls over your posts.
Now give me a break and get off my back and I will refrain from further posts about anyone called ...... . As they say in the Navy - no further correspondence will be entered into on this subject of ......
