Prue:

I just remembered - I have a proposal into the National Science Foundation for developing a Seismic Research Station at one of the World's most active seismic spots. Aka the Kermadec Islands. (Robert: The KI are a beautiful geographer's dream.)

In the very far distant future if this Professor manages to separate the NSF from a few dollars then I will be visiting NZ, specifically Auckland enroute to the KI. Do you live near Auckland, if so we could organize something I suspect?

I remember as a youth reading a Sailing Novel about Children in NZ who sailed in small racing dinghys on a large sea bay? Any thoughts on the name of the books, I remember I enjoyed them.

It is terrible watching people be sea sick, the one thing that makes me gag. Everytime I read the story of Titty being ill in PD or was it WDMTGS? I get really queasy. Of course it is not pleasant being in a cabin where people are feeling sea sick. I always prefer to be on deck with the wind in my face.

But eating bacon and eggs in the middle of a cyclone is great fun as the plates slip and slide. OF course it is a lonely meal, not many people like it that rough.

As the Coast Guard people say : You can go out to sea, ain't nothing says you going to come back.
