If you are not hurting anyone in thinking, believing or acting as you do, then no one has a right to make you conform to their standards of right and wrong, propriety or impropriety, morality or immorality. I may find someone's life empty of meaning, superficial, and boring, but is not my business to give it meaning, bring depth to the soul, or somehow make the person more interesting. Disapproving of someone's lifestyle is one thing, prohibiting it is another.

When I was looking at the site in Jock's last post I came across this statement. I immediately thought of the GA in PM, she would definitely believe she has the right to mould Nancy and Peggy's minds, even if their mother is present. Interesting problem, I wonder why AR introduced her and why was she so terrible and yet not so unlike some of my Great Aunts, although luckily only one or two.

Was AR asking the question - Are children property - true or false?

Where he believed the statement to be false, although the current movements to perfectly behaved children makes me think a lot think true.
