Some people get to know each other so well on message boards that they become engaged before ever meeting in real life. I think you can get to like someone via their posts on a message board.
In a future post I intend to explore the "barriers to learning to sail", psychological, organisational and safety related. AR does try to teach his readers to sail. The posts will be addressed to all Tarboarders contemplating whether or to take the step, not to any one discrete individual.
Finally, I was moved by the supportive messages (since cleared) posted by TARS members after I posting some very frank feedback on the board.
Thank you. I will join TARS after all.
