Third International Conference Comparing Design in Nature with Science and Engineering will be on the last weekend in May 2006 which is at the time of the Annual Meeting (I think I am right).
We could climb Dow Crag before the Conference as I was intending to fly into Manchester. Can we walk from Swallowdale up to Dow Crag - I was thinking maybe we could camp out along the way for a night?
The other thing I would like to do is camp out on WCI (I know but we have a saying at Texas A&M - better to ask forgiveness than permission.) and explore one or two of the safer mines (perhaps we could talk Ian into showing those?).
So Andy will you be free some time around then? I am flexible it can be after the conference.
I was hoping to also go to some place in Scotland to look at the some tests on safety rigs.
There are a few other things I want to do as well.
Now I really have to write that paper.
