Surely there can be no argument about this? All the books published after PD in AR's lifetime, starting with WH and including the 1938 SA with his own illustrations, carried the list in order, with SD before PD. This was on the back of the dustjacket as well as in the list on the page before the frontispiece. See Wayne Hammond's Bibliography pp 84ff.
If AR had disgreed with that, he would have had it changed.
