Problem with dates in S&A and Swallowdale

Does anyone know why AR wrote that when the S&A had climbed
Kanchenjunga and Roger had found the box hidden in the cairn that

We climbed Kanchenjunga.

How can it be 1931 when it was 1929 in Swallows and Amazons
and AR says that Swallows and Amazons was the summer before ? I'd be
grateful if anyone has any ideas on this or maybe it was just a
mistake ?
