I cleared all cookies and the cache from my browser and timed how long it took for each system to come up with the details: the UK planner took 20 seconds, the German planner 9.5 seconds.

The UK Rail planner took just under ten seconds here to get the overall timing and times, plus however quickly I could move the mouse to hit 'details' and get the times, places and carriers for the intermediate legs. My movements, however, are carried out more and more at a labour saving pace. Some would call it deterioration; I call it the belated growth of wisdom.

I see that several stages would be on Virgin Trains. My purely personal experience is that such a schedule would never hold together and would come unstitched after one or two changes. But maybe they've changed since they got me to Chester two hours late.
