28th November,
Very late,

Dear Brother,

I sent your suggested train timetable from Bruton to Windermere for the 14th December to mother. Father apparently threw a fit and said that the British Railway system could not deliver me to Crewe reliably. Mother has organized to drive to Bruton on the 13th December and we will leave early in the morning of the 14th for London.

I am traveling on the London to Crewe train, which departs Euston at 10:15 am and arrives at Crewe at 12:17 pm. We have almost two hours to catch the train to Windermere. So we arrive in Windermere as you planned at 4:33 PM or 16:33 if you prefer. Stop pulling that face; we are not all mad scientists.

I am sure the Headmaster was upset when your rocket landed on the rugby field and left a crater. You failed to explain in your email why the Science Master and you were launching the rockets at 2 AM.

Please do not forget to pack your pyjamas and toothbrush.

Take care and love always,

Dot.
