In my 1947 edition of Swallowdale, this important footnote appears on p 98, and reads:
'Mixed Moss. By a Rolling Stone. Pub. 1930, 8th edition 1931.'
As we all know, 'Mixed Moss' went on to become the name of the Arthur Ransome Society Journal, and 'Rolling Stones' became the name of a rock band.
