Jock, that Shorebase Online Guide is excellent and one could spend a LOT of time looking around it.

Back in 1985 I had a holiday in the UK and had a rental car and a free afternoon in the Yarmouth area. Being interested in railways as well as AR I really wanted to see that quaint swinging rail bridge at Yarmouth as illustrated in CC. First problem was getting to the right place - seemed to be a maze of roads to this non UK resident. And then when I finally got there the second problem was that the particular bridge had apparently disappeared (without anyone telling me!). It would appear that the replacement is the Vauxhall Bridge (now merely a footbridge) - can someone please confirm.

However one great consolation that day was to spot along the waterfront an old (very old apparently) sailing ship which on closer inspection turned out to be named Golden Hind.
