LYDIA EVA is at present laid up on the south shore of Lake Lothing, not far from the VIPER's berth (to keep the AR connection)

She needs heavy repairs to the underwater hull. The Heritage Lottery Fund have given us £30,000 and has reserved another £720,000 to return her to a full steaming and seagoing condition and to recreate the Museum of the Herring Fishery in the fish hold. Our programme is to have her in a shipyard next autumn and at sea early summer 2007, but we still need to raise another £100,000.

She may be 'just an engine in a tin box' but she will be one of only a very few surviving coal burning steamers able to go to sea.
