The Breydon Swing Bridge wasn't Vauxhall Bridge - Vauxhall was 'the third bridge' over which a motor bus roared as Tom towed the Teasel downstream.

Breydon Swing Bridge was round the corner, at the entrance to Breydon Water. It closed to rail traffic in 1953 and was subsequently demolished. THe Yarmouth bypass now follows the same line, with a new lifting bridge, but that hadn't been built in 1985
