I am starting to work out what gear I want for the sails. I have had a look at the Classic Site. I am a bit confused about the dimensions for the travellers. A 70 mm traveller has a 110 mm internal diameter, I wonder why?

Yes I like the idea of the horse, although I think I want a set of blocks on it so I can set the location.

So I am looking at a traveller, gooseneck as I want something a bit solider than a piece of timber, a boom vang, horse and I think I will put a rachet block on the floor at the main thwart to give myself some extra purchase on the main. This is going to be sailed by young girls. I haave also boasted the size of the main.

Anyone got any thoughts on goosenecks, and how do you reef these sails, I have never had a reefed sail.

JMN
