Two points about RD (for and against):

For: I once had an elderly aunt whose eyesight failed towards the end of her life. She could just about manage a Reader's Digest article before her eyes grew too tired to continue. I took out the subscription and passed them on to her. She looked forward to the new RD each month.

Against: When my aunt died, needless to say I decided to cancel the subscription. Ever tried to cancel a Reader's Digest subscription?
