We had this discussion a couple of years ago and it seems to me that many more people now are in favour of excising the "n" word. As for the "p" word in Secret Water that Andrew just referred to, about three days ago while re-reading it for the who knows how manyth time I just got Roger's joke about the "small black buoy". I was and still am in favour of Bowdlerising (whether or not I could have spelt it).
