A friend of mine read THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE to her four sons as they reached the age of seven or eight. However, when it came to the turn of the youngest, Edmund, she swore the older boys to secrecy, and read to him the story of how EdWARD Pevensie betrayed his brother and sisters!
