Can anyone tell me if the other Potter books suffered the same Americanisation as the Philosopher's Stone?
I remember being in line at Thunder Bay's biggest bookstore, and hearing a group of US Senior Citizens behind me discussing how they had driven up from Minneapolis (550 km) to get the "real" version.
There's obviously scope for translating AR titles. Winter Vacation for example, or Pigeon Mail. The mind balks at Loon?, though Ms Lee might be more acceptable in some quarters than the original.
