But we know that AR positively hated alterations to his books, at least for foreign editions (cf his letter to Cape's dated ist June 1933 published in 'Signalling from Mars')
And my father, who wrote Geography books which sold well, certainly would never have permitted editorial alterations without his specific agreement.
