Andy, thank you! I hadn't sat and "done" their actual ages yet.

For me, Swallows and Amazons was one of those amazing serendipitous finds from a dusty shelf in the discard section of a local library. I was over 30 years old, but my delight when I realized the treasure the book was itself (not to mention the treasure it yielded in sequels) was immeasureable. I wish I'd had it when I had been a child visiting "our lake" in Maine, USA.
