A trivial point, really. Holly Howe was the Jackson's farm.If the Dixons had a farm name, we never knew it. It was always just "Dixon's Farm", whether the Swallows were getting milk there or the D's were going back there.

The only other farms we know names, rather than owners' names, for are Watersmeet, Low Farm (which may be the same as Watersmeet), and Crag Gill, IIRC. Dixon's, Swainson's, Tyson's, and Atkinson's are all known only by the owner. Was naming farms customary, random, or related to the age of the establishment?
