You'll note that Jock actually asked (paraphrasing) "which of these describes AR?" and "are these points significant?". He didn't make a particular claim, or assert that all of them supported a thesis.

That's because I don't have a ready madethesis. But I do think that there's a lot more to the books than just well crafted children's stories. We've touched on AR's values before. Peter H wrote some time ago (I'm not sure of the exact words, help me Peter if I'm misquoting you.) that the books could be a bad influence if read by certain adults. Like Pike Rock there's something quite dangerous lurking beneath the surface.
