You seem to be going about it the right way, but I'd encourage you to have a swing via Pin Mill, which when I was last there was absolutely recognisable from AR's descriptions and illustrations- down to the sail mending hut at the top of the hard. For the full pleasure, you need to have a copy of WDMTGTS with you, for the illustrations.
