Pam's comments are significant - I am probably a bit out-of-date on all this. However, there is one extra snag about transferring old TARS material to CD which I forgot to mention. As well as the various authors' permissions, the consent of the AR literary executors and Jonathan Cape would be needed as well. This is because the printed TARS publications have been allowed to reproduce freely any AR text and illustrations by special agreement. This would not automatically extend to other publishing formats, eg electronic. It would be very difficult to 'strip out' all AR-originated material for the purposes of electronic publication - there would be hardly anything left! It may be possible to get this permission, but it cannot be guaranteed.
