I just spent two hours walking my grand-twins in a pram round Ruskin Park in London. Lotsa wind and the weather alternating between slight downpour and heavier downpour. And I can't really wholeheartedly agree with that thought... A spot of thatch would have come in handy today.
They, of course, were in a wonderfully well kitted out Maclaren two seater buggy, perfectly preserved from cold and wet. There's a heck of a lot to be said for plastics.
And yes, I'm a wimp.
