try explaining sight and colour to a blind man. As far as I can see I am blind to dowsing, but that does not stop me accepting that some people can find water. As with all professions some will by fakes, but some will I am sure be real.
If Alex asserts that his Grandfather can find water by map dowsing I have three options:
1. Accept the hypothesis and get on with a life that currently consists 0f multiple nightime awakens caused by the new ferret in the house.
2. Reject the hypothesis out of hand as bd or kidology
3. Test the hypothesis.
If I had a spare 50,000 lying around I would try the theory out. As I do not I am taking the word of some sincere fellows and ladies and getting on with my life. Of course if you want to spend 1000 sinking a well in your backyard on the say so of a dowser then you have two options - do so - maybe the alternative is spending 10,000 on bringing piped water
