The Buxton beardbiter is well but rather busy. Thanks for noticing. Accepting dowsing would be like knocking down a wall in the house of knowledge and building an extension, remote dowsing would require destroying most of the foundations. Personally, I don't believe in either, nor in Swallowdale, Horeshoe Cove, or Mavis as Amazon, except of course when I do.
Perhaps someone should devise an electronic flag one to signify that we are operating in the real world where the six about whom it was written contribute many illustrations and places are real but jumbled and another for when we are discussing the talented author Mr Ransome who uses details so cleverly to create realism "Roger aged seven and no longer the youngest of the family".. what could be more "real" than that but none of the other children ever mentions their age, something that "real" children do quite frequently.
I think Titty's dipper would be a suitable device for the first flag and Mr Jemmerling's (spelling?) Pterodactyl for the other.
Now back to the Winter Olympics, buying a car and writng reports
