Actually Peter, I don't see where I 'widened' a topic nor do I believe I 'need' to be careful.
My point was if you don't like or consider a topic important to you, then skip over it. You may not think readers can learn more abour Ransome through topics such as Beckfoot plumbing (as of course you have the right to do) but others obviously disagree or the topic wouldn't be pursued and enjoyed by so many.
Please don't condescend to me - I'm aware you don't enjoy some of the posts but prefer not to be told about it. In fact, you would be doing me a courtesy by brushing past those of my posts you don't agree with or dislike.
