Johns first meeting with Capt Flint.

It's a very powerful passage. I really felt for John. When as an adult, I read that article by AR about the publication of SA, his really being afraid and the laws of libel, I was reminded of that scene with Capt Flint and wondered whether something like that hadn't happened to him and whether the father of the real life Amazons hadn't been involved. I couldn't see AR being afraid of Ernest Altounyan, the father of the real life Swallows.
