Dear Robert:

I realize engineers are not nice people.

They build sewage treatment works - well ok they save lives from disease, but they are ugly and made of concrete.
They build water treatment plants - same complaint, although Weary Dunlop always maintained that Engineers have saved more lives than Doctors.

And of course I agree whole heartly with the recent decision not to use a Rotavirus Vacinne in India because of the 1 in 60000 risk of intercussions. Well, ok, problem, 200,000 kids died from loss of liquid as a result of that decision, but we saved three kids from a 10 hour operation to reverse an intercussions. Sorry that was medical decision.

I love little old Ladies and young Ladies. They make the world go around. But sometimes humour helps.

By the way in Port Stephens I saved a few thousand trees in a park when young ladies and kids complained to the Mayor. I was sent in kicking and screaming to sort out the mess as the PM had stuffed things up nicely. The Mayor spat in my face that day.

Nancy - I wonder what side of the rota virus camp she would be in.

JMN
