And while I'm at it, E.F.Knight's Falcon on the Baltic is also available online.

I suspect both Ransome and Childers must have read it before they both cruised the Baltic - Childers twenty years before Ransome, in 'a very ugly little 5 tonner with no headroom'. There's more on Childers' sailing life via the National Maritime Museum.
