Having a class of 20 odd rather 'unbookish' students who are generally not readers of fully fledged books (I do have a few exceptions) I am interested in introducing them to AR's books. I was wondering whether any teachers resource package (including comprehension, background information, language features) has ever been developed, and if so where could I get it?!?

Being Australian the 'Britishness' of the characters and landscape is also of some interest.

I am hoping this is not too odd a question...

PS: I am enjoying reading peoples posts, I find it amazing how many aspects of the texts have been covered... and to think there are so many people interested in these books... (considering my family think me odd for taking such an interest in them)...

BTW: Someone said earlier that their favourite characters were the D's... I must say I feel the same... I guess I relate more to their experiences (or lack of it) then to the very capable Pirates and Explorers.
