Hannah, I believe Hilary Weston, my successor as National Junior Co-ordinator, was developing something along the lines of a teachers' resource a few years ago. I don't know whether it ever came to fruition as I stood down from the Trustees soon afterwards but someone on TarBoard might know her email address so you could contact her for more information. One suggestion might be to play your students extracts from Gabriel Woolf's abridged recordings of the books which can be purchased via Ted Alexander. To hear the written word read, and read well, can be very engaging - my youngest son who is dyslexic and aged 20, loves hearing the stories read by GW (as well as Stephen Fry's readings of the Harry Potter books, I have to admit!!).
