The twins, I have been reliably informed, were the daughters of the director or producer or some such person, hence their being cast in the movie. I have to say, I think they are totally wrong - too young, should be unalike not identical, P&S have never struck me as 'twee' which is what these two did, no 'warmth' about them which I think you get from the book. All of piece, really, with both programmes. And as for the title they used - just WHERE are the S&As to justify using their names??????

In fact like many a story turned into a film, there is very little connection between the written word and that which is seen on the screen. I remember seeing Dr No in the James Bond series, having read the book (and how many fans of JB can say that these days, or even KNOW that the original films were technically based on a series of volumes??), and thinking that only the only point of contact with the written word was the fact that 2 characters called JB & Dr No were in the movie.......
