I don't think "sentry go" should be regarded as a proof-reading error, but rather of the way in which English has evolved over time. For example, consider the fact that in early 19th-century books a hyphenated "thank-you" is common practice, by the 1960s it had become two words ("Thank you for the 27 copies of COOT CLUB.") and is today frequently spelt as one word (16,200,000 hits for "thankyou" on Google).
