A few weeks ago, quite a few of the newer, and definitely non-establishment, Tarboarders protested about the ‘inner circle’ who dominated the postings.

At the time were getting rather fugged up in the St Tarboards’ common room. It could be a rather intimidating atmosphere for a newcomer. I reminisced that I had hesitated on the outside of Tarboard before making my first post.

Jock completely ignored these comments and went AWOL for a few days. At least I acknowledged that these people had a point.

Now Jock wants to start an ‘in-joke’ festival, with all the usual names. Doesn’t he ever learn?

If Owen is kind enough to organise a Tarboard get together to celebrate our 10th birthday, I for one will be there.

Yes, it’s all a joke isn’t it? That tired old excuse for snide comments. As you may have noticed, I am taking it all seriously. Well, sorry – as far as I am concerned I’ve had enough – the gloves are off now.

I hadn't noticed that they were ever on. In all seriousness Peter, I enjoy many of your posts and if you turn up at the Dunsden celebration do, I and I'm sure many others will queue up to buy you a pint.
