I think you're right Peter. My first posting was a query about an old annotated copy of Coot Club I had picked up, and within one posting the thread had veered around to how best to get from Lowestoft to Norwich or something similar.

Matti, I do fall into the 'category' of those who 'seem to be interested in old books as objects' as Owen Roberts has it in a later posting in this thread, but unfortunately have no knowledge of the dates in your query - hence the lack of a response.
