I bought my copy for £5, too! It really is a very nice book. Muir re-joined the Royal Navy, at the start of WW2 as a seaman sub-lieutenant in the Volunteer Reserve. By then he was in his sixties. When asked, by a former subordinate, what a Rear-Admiral was doing as a sub-lieutenant, he replied "Having fun, of course!". He was killed in action in 1940.
