Not being a mother myself, I can't speak for them, but I admit to a sneaking suspicion that John is 'too good.' (What can I say- my favorite dogs are terriers!) I can't imagine him pretending to be a clipper ship, tacking his way across the field. A highly imaginative mother might have a secret preference for Roger, despite his expense in chocolate. My personal favorite of the S&A boys is Dick, followed by Pete.
