While looking out of the window yesterday I saw a hedgehog crossing the road. He/she got about half way and then lay down on the tarmac. Thinking it had done this because the surface was warm I became concerned in case it got run over. I went to get a cloth and placed him/her in our back garden where it would be safe and Val placed a bowl of cat food on the grass in front of him. We only have four pussies now that Whiskey died suddenly from a heart attack six weeks ago. The hedgehog began to cough, it wasn't well, so Val, who is a Veterinary Nurse at our local clinic took him/her off for treatment. If they cannot help him/her we have a charity in this country, appropriately called St Tiggywinkles that specialises in hedgehogs, that will.
