Terence, I hope your parents know you value those books in the attic. I left a set of very early Puffin Ransomes with my dear parents only to have them given away to the neighbour's children.
What a waste!
Most had coloured AR drawings on the covers but Swallows and Amazons had, I vaguely recall, a pale green cover that may had the style of a Clifford Webb drawing, perhaps of Houseboat Bay.
