Kate, Thank you. I would also be very interested in what your mother has to say. If I remember correctly the hardback copies I have were illustrated by Guy de Selincourt.
You mentioned that you had aquired all the sailing books - can you remember all the titles? I was particularly interested when you mentioned St Mawes since I don't remember any of the books being set in the West Country (with the exception of "Family Afloat" when they take refuge from a storm in the Yealm after returning from France).

The ones that I have read (and are, I'm sure, still safe in my parent's keeping) are:

Family Afloat - (A Puffin edition and the book that got me hooked on sailing)
Three Green Bottles, One Good Tern, and "Kestral".
I know that there is at least one more "Mickey" which we were never able to find. Are there more titles?
