OK, Terence, I will try to compile a complete list. Unfortunately the "collection" is scattered between Ireland & America, but we have a family birthday coming up so I can get on the telephone and get some answers.
I do remember Mickey as the creepiest. Looking at it now, I realise it was an early attempt toaddress child abuse - or perhaps not so early, thinking of The Water Babies. Mickey is being kept in slavery by some horrible farm people and rescued by the children in the series.
Also, I remember fairly recently re-reading Family Afloat and being horified by Mr Rutherford's casual acknowledgement that he just didn't get round to fixing the engine on the boat ( was it Tessa?). And now they are drifting onto the rocks. I had just returned from a TransAtlantic with a very tough skipper, obsessive about maintenance and safety, and I could just imagine him going absolutely SPARE at such a situation!
