That information about the AR papers came verbally direct from Vicky Slowe. I did contact TARPAULIN to check but the reply that came back suggested that they had never heard of any papers being held back or as the person who relayed the reply put it "sat on". It was also suggested that Vicky Slowe put out the statement as some sort of joke.

Bearing in mind her position at the time as a sort of "Curator on Loan", then attached to Coniston Museum from the Abbot Hall Gallery and Museum, that would have been very foolish and damaging to her reputation. What would she have to gain by doing this?

Why would any person want to discredit her in such a way by suggesting that she had, in effect, lied for a joke. A joke that could backfire on her.

I would love to know if these papers actually exist. It is looking like some sort of conspiracy or cover up theory? Perhaps we need Dan Brown to investigate TARPAULIN.

Are we talking about "The Ransome Code"?

I do not have contact addresses or emails for TARPAULIN members. Perhaps somebody could help me out with an email giving these details?
