I don't know how many originals are kept by the Museum of Lakeland Life (judging by Roger Wardale's book on AR and the world of S&A, they seem to be either there or in the Brotherton Collection, Leeds University), but there were perhaps ten (some not used e.g. naming "Scarab") on the walls of the recreated AR study, and from RW's book clearly more in store.

Re copying the original drawings - was the process you mention done by hand or some contact process? Either way, it could mean a loss of detail.

But we seem to have moved on to discussing inflections within the English language.
