John Richardson's comment below that he found unrecognisable Peter Duck
quotes turning up too often in the Quiz set me thinking again about
the method used for selecting randomly from the database of 144
(12x12) quotations. In theory over time no book should be favoured
over any other, but I agree that due to some mysterious force of its own
Peter Duck had a trick of getting itself chosen two or three times
within the same Quiz.. I have accordingly implemented an earlier
suggestion of Ian Baines, and now no book may appear more than once
within the same Quiz.
I've not yet, incidentally, had any feedback on the Arthur Ransome
Life and Times Quiz. It's one for clever clogs with ambitions
on the Dick Callum Cup ...
