I was once in the early 1960s given tea at a British Army camp near Hannover; the tea was in large jugs and the milk and sugar were already mixed. This was at breakfast and I still remember it as the best tea I've ever had (but the circumstances certainly helped).

Not only circumstances. I've had British Army tea in various places, always out of large thermos-type tanks with taps, and always with milk and sugar already added. Indoors or out, it was the best tea ever. The possible exception was an Indian roadside shack, with a small clay and charcoal fire to heat up each batch and a bush from which the owner would snip some herbs into the mix before boiling, complete with sugar and milk. Served in unbaked clay cups, which disintegrated after use. Absolutely hygienic. As good as Army tea. Wonderful.

Clearly, God made tea to be boiled up with sugar and milk. Adding it when pouring is just an effete Western trick- although calling Susan effete would be asking for trouble; at the very least, a hard look and a blast of the whistle.
