I'm not sure the BVR would thank you for describing it as a miniature railway ! Although 15" gauge is on the borderline between narrow gauge and miniature, the length of the BVR and its equipment definitely put it into the n-g class, along with the similarly-gauged Ravenglass & Eskdale (whose terminal station is a handy starting point for a walk to the Miterdale version of Swallowdale) and the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch (which features in Malcolm Saville's Lone Pine series, even if not AR).
